Re-ignite your passion: The creative side of Rehabilitation Counselling

A Rehabilitation Counsellors perspective dedicated to working in the life insurance sector

Creativity and rehabilitation counselling are not 2 words often used together. Yet the two are symbiotic when working in the life insurance industry. We can often become stuck working in familiar ways under the highly constrained confines of certain schemes, finding it hard to remember why we first stepped into this industry. Are you finding that your spark has dulled? Perhaps your looking for an alternative sector to re-ignite that passion to help people, to make a difference and be a force for change. Having worked as a Rehabilitation Counsellor for 20 years, and now within a rehabilitation provider that only services the life insurance sector, I am often being asked how is life insurance based work different and what makes it so appealing. Becoming creative and innovative in our approach to occupational rehabilitation not only sparks our own continued interest in our role, it has a ripple effect to keep our client’s engaged and active participants in their own work and wellbeing journey. Thrive in an industry that is passionate about helping others to make long lasting change not only for the individual but for community and society as a whole. Are you ready to ignite your creativity!
